Use the book resources: Book Companion, Pocket Standard and Image Library
3 min read Updated 05 Jul 2026
The Resources group in the sidebar holds the companion material for The Control Standard: the Book Companion hub of diagnostics and tools, the printable Pocket Standard PDF, and the Image Library of every figure from the book — browsable by chapter, searchable, and downloadable on any plan.
The Resources group at the bottom of the sidebar collects the companion material for The Control Standard: Book Companion, Image Library and Pocket Standard. None of it touches your project data — it's reference material for reading the book, teaching it, and putting it in front of other people.
Everything here is available on every plan. The Book Companion and Pocket Standard pages are public; the Image Library needs you to be signed in, but nothing more.
Find your way around the Book Companion
The Book Companion is the hub — one page listing every way to use the book, so start here when you're not sure which tool fits.
- Open Book Companion in the sidebar.
- Pick the tool that matches the work in front of you:
- Two free five-minute diagnostics — the Drift Report (

Each card links straight into the tool it describes.
Download the Pocket Standard
The Pocket Standard is a printable PDF summary of the Control Toolkit — the dual mission, the pillars, the seven places drift hides, the escalation ladder, cadence as control, and the Tuesday morning sweep. It's built to be pinned to a wall, taken into a 1:1, or handed to a direct report.
- Open Pocket Standard in the sidebar.
- Because you're signed in, there's no email gate — press
Download the Pocket Standard (PDF).
The file downloads as the-pocket-standard.pdf, ready to print. If you
share the page with someone who doesn't have an account, they can enter
their First name and Work email and press Send me the Pocket Standard
instead.
Browse and download figures in the Image Library

reuse unaltered in internal training and presentations, as long as the
baked-in credit stays visible.
Who can do this
Everyone, on every plan — free tier included. The Book Companion and Pocket Standard pages don't require sign-in at all; the Image Library requires a signed-in account but no particular plan or permission, and its content is the same for every user.

Take the e-learning courses
E-learning turns The Control Standard into short interactive courses — one per chapter of the book, split into sub-modules of ten to twenty minutes. Open a course, work through its steps, and your progress saves as you go. It's optional: readers of the book can skip straight to the assessments.
Take chapter assessments and earn your certificate
Chapter assessments audit your knowledge of The Control Standard, one chapter at a time. Open Chapter assessments under Learn, pass each chapter at 70% or above, and pass all ten to earn a verifiable certificate you can download as a PDF and share through a public verification link. Retake as often as you like — your best score counts.
