Billing, invoices and managing your subscription
3 min read Updated 05 Jul 2026
The Billing page shows your organisation's current plan, billing cycle, seat allowance and renewal date. From there you switch plans, add seats, and open the Stripe customer portal to update your card, download invoices, or cancel. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — the app never stores card details.
Billing is where you manage your organisation's plan, billing cycle and
seat allowance. Open the avatar menu in the top-right and choose Billing
— the link only appears if your role can manage billing.
Payment runs entirely through Stripe. When you pay, change card or download an invoice, you're on Stripe's secure pages — the app never sees or stores your card details.
Check your current plan and renewal date
- Open the avatar menu and choose
Billing. - Read the Current plan card at the top.
It shows your plan name, seats in use against your seat limit, billing cycle, subscription status, and the date your plan renews with the renewal amount. If a payment has failed, an Access expires date appears so you know how long you have to restore payment.
Upgrade or switch plan
- On the Billing page, scroll to Change plan.
- Use the
Annual/Monthlytoggle to pick a billing cycle — annual works out around 17% cheaper. - Press
Switch to [plan name]on the tier you want.
If you're subscribing for the first time, you're taken to Stripe Checkout
to pay; you land back on a confirmation page and your new plan activates
within a few moments. If you already have a paid subscription and are
moving up (for example Individual to Team), you get an upgrade screen
instead: unused time on your current plan is credited automatically, so
you only pay the difference. Choose a cycle and press Confirm upgrade to
[plan name].
Switching to a smaller plan is blocked while your team is over the new tier's seat cap — archive teammates first. Downgrades and cancellations apply at the end of the current billing period; upgrades take effect immediately.
Add extra seats
On a team plan with a live subscription, a Seats card appears on the Billing page.
- Enter the number of extra seats in
Extra seats(up to the plan's add-on limit). - Choose
MonthlyorAnnualbilling for the extra seats — add-on seats bill on their own cycle, so adding one never ties you into a year. - Press
Update seats.
Stripe prorates the change against your current term. To reduce seats, archive any teammates above the new limit first.
Manage your card, invoices and cancellation
- On the Billing page, press
View invoicesto download past invoices and receipts, orManage card & cancelto update your payment method or cancel. - Both open the Stripe customer portal; make your changes and close the portal to return.
A PDF invoice is also emailed each time you're billed. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then drops to the free tier — your account and data stay, and you can resubscribe any time.
If you're on the Individual plan and it's within 14 days of payment, a
money-back guarantee link at the bottom of the Billing page lets you
request a full refund of your most recent payment. Tick the confirmation
box and press Request my refund — this cancels your plan immediately.
Who can do this
Only people whose role includes the manage-billing permission — typically
the account owner, a Manager or an Admin. Everyone else won't see Billing in
the avatar menu, and the pages themselves refuse access. Billing applies
to the whole organisation, not to individual members.

Members, roles and permissions
The Members page is where you invite teammates, assign the role that sets what they can do, watch invite and onboarding status, and archive leavers to free a seat. Invites are single-use email links valid for 14 days; roles range from Manager down to read-only Viewer.
Your account, profile and two-factor authentication
Account settings is where you manage what's yours: your name and email, the emails the product sends you, your password, replays of one-time guided tours, and two-factor authentication — including authenticator-app setup and the trusted devices that skip the sign-in challenge.
