Understand plans and what's included
4 min read Updated 05 Jul 2026
Six plans cover solo readers to whole departments: Free for one-off diagnostics, Individual for learning and running the standard alone, and Team, Business, Scale and Advisory for shared workspaces. Compare seats, snapshot limits and team features, and learn what happens to access and data if a paid subscription lapses.
Every workspace is on one plan, and the plan decides three things: how many
seats you have, whether team features are switched on, and how many runs of
the Control Discipline Snapshot you get. Open Billing from your avatar
menu to see your current plan on the Plan & subscription page.
Pick the right tier
| Plan | Built for | Seats | Snapshot runs | Team features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | A one-off read of where you stand | 1 | 5 | — |
| Individual | Learning the whole standard and running it on your own work | 1 | Unlimited | — |
| Team | A manager running the standard with a small team | 5 (+ up to 3 add-ons) | Unlimited | Yes |
| Business | Growing teams — adds a programme view and the read-only API | 15 | Unlimited | Yes |
| Scale | Departments — adds custom roles, and SSO on request | 50 | Unlimited | Yes |
| Advisory | Organisations that want hands-on help embedding the standard | Unlimited | Unlimited | Yes |
Current prices are on the pricing page. Individual is billed
annually only: the first year is £149 and includes all ten courses, every
chapter assessment and your certificate; from year two it renews at £59/year.
Team and above bill monthly or annually. Advisory is a scoped engagement —
press Open an enquiry to talk to us.
Know what team features unlock
On the Team plan and above, the sidebar gains Ownership (delegate outcomes, not just tasks), Team progress (cross-project and per-person views, for people with the right permission) and Team management (sub-teams). Invited teammates can actually join your workspace, and managers get the team course and chapter-assessment dashboard.
On Free and Individual those entries don't appear, and opening a team-only
page redirects you to pricing with a short explanation. In this Help Centre,
articles covering team-only features carry a Team plans badge so you know
before you read.
You can send an Invite teammate on any plan if you hold the invite
permission — but your teammate can't accept until your plan has team
features and a free seat. Until then the invitation shows a
Pending upgrade chip under Pending invitations.
Add extra seats on the Team plan
Team includes 5 seats and allows up to 3 more as add-ons.
- Open
Billingand find the Seats section. - Set
Extra seats(0–3) and choose whether the extra seats bill monthly or annually — add-on seats bill on their own cycle, so adding one never ties you into a year. - Press
Update seats.
Stripe prorates the change against your current term. To reduce seats, archive any teammates above the new limit first. Growing past 8 people? Switch to Business instead of stacking add-ons.
Track your free snapshot allowance
The free tier includes 5 runs of the Control Discipline Snapshot. Each
completed run uses one; they don't reset. Each successful sign-up through
your referral code adds 5 bonus runs — for you and for them — up to 10
redemptions of your code. Every paid plan removes the cap entirely. The two
diagnostics (Drift Report and "Should you automate this?") stay unlimited
on every plan, free included.
Restore access after a lapse
If a payment fails, your plan goes past due and a banner appears at the top
of the workspace: We couldn't take payment, with the date access would
end. Press Update billing to fix your card before that date and nothing
is interrupted.
If you cancel, the plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for — the banner reads Your subscription is set to end with the end date.
Once the paid period (and any grace window) has fully passed, paid features
pause and the banner reads Your subscription has ended (naming your
plan). Your projects, check-ins, control points and history are all kept
safe — press Resubscribe and you pick up exactly where you left off.
Who can do this
Anyone can view the public pricing page and see the plan
comparison. The Billing page — changing plan, seats, cards and invoices —
needs the manage-billing permission, which Managers and Admins hold by
default. Everyone in the workspace sees the subscription banners; only
people with billing permission see the Resubscribe and Update billing
buttons on them.

Billing, invoices and managing your subscription
The Billing page shows your organisation's current plan, billing cycle, seat allowance and renewal date. From there you switch plans, add seats, and open the Stripe customer portal to update your card, download invoices, or cancel. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — the app never stores card details.
Members, roles and permissions
The Members page is where you invite teammates, assign the role that sets what they can do, watch invite and onboarding status, and archive leavers to free a seat. Invites are single-use email links valid for 14 days; roles range from Manager down to read-only Viewer.
Get set up as a manager — run the loop, then bring the team in
Team plansSet up in two stages: run the loop on your own work first — learning plan, snapshot, a real project, a weekly check-in — then invite your team from Members. Automatic reminders chase each member's learning plan so you don't have to, and Team progress opens up once their check-ins land.
